How It Works

01 Kickoff & Goal Alignment

We meet with your leadership team to understand your business objectives, current AI initiatives, and the processes where AI could drive the most value. This sets the foundation for your AI readiness assessment.

02 Process & Stakeholder Mapping

We define your core business processes and identify key stakeholders across the organization. Understanding how your business actually operates is what makes our AI maturity model findings actionable, not theoretical.

03 Stakeholder Interviews

We conduct up to 40 stakeholder interviews, scoring each process against our proprietary AI Maturity Scale. This gives you a clear current-state picture across all eight maturity levels and surfaces immediate AI opportunities.

04 Technical & Data Evaluation

We review your existing data architecture, systems, and governance structure. Your data readiness determines which AI use cases are achievable now and what infrastructure gaps need to close first.

05 AI Readiness Assessment Report

You receive a complete report with your maturity scores, prioritized AI use cases ranked by business value and implementation effort, and a phased AI implementation roadmap with clear timelines.

06 Executive

Readout

We present findings directly to your leadership team, validate priorities together, and align on the AI integration roadmap. You leave the engagement with a plan your team actually owns.

Frequently Asked Questions About AI Readiness Assessment

At Brewster Consulting Group, we’re often asked about our AI Readiness Assessment. These FAQs explain all the common questions we receive about AI readiness.

  • How long does an AI readiness assessment take?

A Brewster Consulting Group AI readiness assessment typically takes 3 to 10 weeks depending on the size and complexity of your organization. Smaller companies with under 50 employees and straightforward operations complete the assessment in 3 to 4 weeks. Mid-market organizations with multiple business units, complex data architecture, or a larger stakeholder interview requirement take 6 to 10 weeks. The assessment includes up to 40 stakeholder interviews, a full technical evaluation, and delivery of both the AI Maturity Audit Report and AI Implementation Roadmap.

  • What does an AI readiness assessment include?

Brewster's AI readiness assessment evaluates your organization across eight levels of our proprietary AI Maturity Model and delivers two major outputs. The first is an AI Maturity Audit Report that scores your current state across operational maturity, AI capabilities, and AI use case readiness, and identifies immediate opportunities for AI integration. The second is a prioritized AI Implementation Roadmap with specific use cases ranked by business value and implementation effort, phased timelines, and tactical next steps. Every AI readiness assessment also includes an executive readout where we present findings directly to your leadership team.

  • How do you protect our data during an AI readiness assessment?

Brewster Consulting Group signs a mutual NDA before any AI readiness assessment work begins. All information we access remains fully within your environment throughout the engagement. We do not export data or confidential records outside of your systems. We ask that you provision us inside your tenant with appropriate access permissions for the duration of the assessment. Our team has delivered AI maturity audits for clients in HIPAA-regulated healthcare environments, financial services, and other compliance-sensitive industries.

  • What is an AI maturity model?

An AI maturity model is a structured framework that defines the stages an organization progresses through as it builds AI capabilities. Brewster's proprietary AI Maturity Scale consists of eight levels. Level 1 represents basic process identification with no AI documentation. Level 8 represents full AI integration with autonomous agents and real-time decision-making. The model evaluates three dimensions simultaneously: operational maturity, AI capabilities, and AI use case readiness. Organizations that complete a Brewster AI readiness assessment receive a maturity score for each dimension and a clear understanding of what is required to advance to the next level.

  • What is the difference between an AI readiness assessment and an AI strategy?

An AI readiness assessment is a diagnostic evaluation of where your organization stands today across processes, data infrastructure, and AI capabilities. An AI strategy is a forward-looking plan for how to use AI to achieve business goals. Most organizations attempt to build an AI strategy without first completing an AI readiness assessment, which leads to misaligned investments and failed implementations. Brewster's AI readiness assessment produces both: a clear picture of your current state and a prioritized AI implementation roadmap that functions as your AI strategy. The assessment is grounded in your actual operations, not generic best practices.

  • What industries does Brewster deliver AI readiness assessments for?

Brewster Consulting Group has delivered AI readiness assessments and AI maturity audits for organizations across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, oil and gas, professional services, SaaS, and logistics. Our AI Maturity Model is industry-agnostic because it evaluates your processes, data infrastructure, and operational capabilities rather than your specific vertical. We have completed AI maturity audits for managed service providers, private equity-backed portfolio companies, and organizations undergoing digital transformation initiatives. Industry experience informs how we prioritize findings and structure recommendations for each client.

  • How much does an AI readiness assessment cost?

Brewster's AI readiness assessment is priced as a fixed fee based on your organization's size, the number of stakeholder interviews required, and the scope of process mapping included. Organizations with fewer than 50 employees typically invest at the lower end of our range. Organizations with 200 or more employees and multiple business units invest at the higher end. Schedule a 30-minute call to receive a scoped fixed fee before any work begins.

  • What happens after the AI readiness assessment is complete?

After completing a Brewster AI readiness assessment, clients receive a prioritized AI use case roadmap ranking every identified opportunity by business value and implementation effort. Most clients move forward in one of three ways. Some implement quick wins internally using the roadmap as their guide. Others engage Brewster to implement specific AI use cases identified during the assessment, including AI workflow automation, AI integration consulting, or data infrastructure work needed to support AI adoption. A third group continues with Brewster's fractional analytics or data warehouse services to build the underlying data foundation. There is no obligation to continue beyond the AI readiness assessment itself.
